Cloning and Tissue Culture

Australian Research

Cloning and tissue cultures are ways of vegetative propagation. When the Wollemi Pine was discovered in the Blue Mountains, NSW in 1994 it showed that a species that was once thought to be extinct was alive and well. The population was a small one and reproductive technologies have been used to help the plant propagate.
